Cover Maker: Reel and Shorts Cover Image from a Video Frame

Reel cover from a video frame

Pick a frame or upload an image, add a Hindi, Hinglish or English title, and download a 1080×1920 cover.

This tool is available on the paid plans (Creator, Pro and Studio). It does not use tool credits.

Pick a frame from your video, or upload your own picture, add a title in Hindi, Hinglish or English, and download a 1080 x 1920 PNG or JPG cover for your Reel or Short.

How it works

FFmpeg takes the frame at the time you choose (or your image), crops or fits it to 1080 x 1920 and draws your text on top with the same bundled Indian-language fonts the caption tool uses, so Devanagari letters and conjuncts are shaped properly. You choose font, size, colour, position and a style (outline, box or plain).

Steps

  1. Sign in and make sure you are on a paid plan (Creator, Pro or Studio).
  2. Open Cover Maker and choose a video or an image.
  3. For a video, play it and press "Use this frame", then type your title and pick a font and style.
  4. Press Make cover and download the PNG or JPG.

Who it is for

  • Creators who need a clear cover or thumbnail for Reels, Shorts and stories
  • Hindi and Hinglish creators who need text in proper Devanagari
  • Anyone who wants a cover without opening a design app

Frequently asked questions

Does it support Hindi text?

Yes. Hindi is drawn with bundled Devanagari fonts (for example Mukta, Hind and Poppins), so letters join correctly. Words in other Indian scripts use a matching Noto font automatically.

Can I use my own picture?

Yes. Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image instead of a video and it is cropped or fitted to 1080 x 1920.

PNG or JPG?

PNG is lossless and larger; JPG is smaller. Both are 1080 x 1920.

Is this tool free?

No. This tool is available on the paid plans (Creator, Pro and Studio). The Free plan cannot use it. See the pricing page for plans. It does not use tool credits or clipper minutes, and no AI is involved.

How many times can I use it?

Each finished file counts as one use and the allowance resets on your billing date. Video tools (Video Trimmer, Reel Resizer and Cover Maker share one allowance): Creator 40 uses per month, Pro 80, Studio 200. A job that fails is not counted.

What happens to my video after processing?

The upload is deleted as soon as the file is processed. The result is available to you only, for 60 minutes, and then it is deleted automatically.

Which file formats can I upload?

MP4, MOV and WebM, up to 10 minutes per file. The result is an MP4 (the cover maker also accepts JPG, PNG and WebP images and exports PNG or JPG).
